The Math Problem That Has Stumped Thousands Of People. #ThoughtProvoking

Everyone loves a good thought-provoking problem. Generally, the ones that seem to have the easiest premise are the ones that push to the limits of our sanity. And for good reason, they test us and make us see things in a new perspective.

Take, for instance, the Monty Hall Problem, named after the gameshow host who made this statistical mind-bender famous. In the problem, you are faced with three doors; behind one is a brand new car while the other two have goats. Let’s say you pick one door, the host will open one of the doors you didn’t choose and reveal a goat. You are then given a choice: change your selection or keep your first choice. Sounds simple right?

Well, if you decided to keep your first choice, you’d be most likely wrong. Some very bright people including Marilyn Vos Savant, the smartest living person have backed up their answers with solid proof.
